What Is Fast Day
Fast Day was a holiday in the State of New Hampshire, it was created by the farmers of over 200 years ago. Fast day was a day of proclaimed fasting for the benefit of the Governor of the state. The Governor was ill and it was thought if others did not eat, the Governor would get better! Well he did not get better and he died anyway. Did someone cheat and eat a morsel of food? I do not know. Anyway the old timers knew a good thing when they saw one and decided to continue with the holiday.

How We will Celebrate
We will celebrate Fast Day by getting our toys out of the barn or garage or hanger and going flying! We will celebrate Fast Day by getting the cobwebs out of the cylinders and intake manifolds then propelling them into the freedom of the atmosphere via the exhaust system. Or we will just enjoy watching others do what we someday may dream of doing.

Why Fast Day
Fast Day is that little perfect time of year in New Hampshire. It is after mud season and before bug season. The air is fresh with the smell of spring. Usually fast day has been celebrated on the 4th Monday of April, however in a concession to global warming we have decided that we can move the date ahead to the 4th Sunday of April. Besides we no longer have the Monday off.
